Overview

Experience zero gravity and live like an astronaut in Belgium

Euro Space Center is a winning mixture of learning and activity. Through hands-on practical experience, students learn to live like an astronaut! When was the last time you flew in a shuttle simulator or experienced weightlessness? The whole experience is enhanced by your party actually living on-site with basic accommodation in the form of crew sleeping rooms and communal dining area – just like the real thing.

Located just 90 minutes from Brussels, we also have a great selection of optional evening activities in the surrounding area to keep your group occupied for the entire day. Explore a medieval castle at night led by a flaming torch, beat out your rival team in a game of laser tag or take to the bowling alley!

Astronaut training simulators

These series of simulators are a highlight of the astronaut training programme because they provide many laughs! Students can use the moonwalk harness that simulates the feeling of anti-gravity or the multi-axis or rotating chairs which are a wild ride that simulate the feeling of floating in a space shuttle. You'll also learn how the body's balance and coordination work.

Simulation room Euro Space

Mission simulation

This is a really fun activity where teams will be split into groups and simulate the launch of a space shuttle in a launch room! Each team member will have their own role and a unique set of tasks to complete. While taking part in this simulation you will learn the actual procedures involved in a lift-off, orbit, satellite launch, docking and re-entry into the atmosphere!

ISS presentation

International Space Station presentation

Start your astronaut training when you arrive at the Euro Space Center with a presentation about the ISS. Learn all about tt's construction, purpose, impact on our daily life and its future.

Rocket workshop

Rocket workshop

Think your team can build the best rocket? Head to the workshop where you'll be taught the theory of propulsion and use your new physics know-how to build the most stable rocket out of craft materials - complete with a fuse. Once you're done, watch your rockets take flight outside and crown the winner, the best-built rockets can fly up to 10 metres high!

Euro Space Planetarium

Planetarium show

Learn about astronomy in Euro Space's very own interactive planetarium. Sit back and watch the history of the universe project above you before your eyes.

Zero gravity wall

Zero gravity wall

Another highlight of the Euro Space programme is the zero gravity wall activity. Students simulate repairing a satellite in space, all the while feeling the effect of complete weightlessness! A water tank balances your weight, so any movement sends you shooting up. Scale the wall to repair the broken satellite and save your space mission.

International space station

Daily Life in the ISS

Now's your chance to learn about what day to day life is like for the people who live and work on the International Space Station. Receive a presentation on the impact of weightlessness in daily life.

Euro Space solar system

Giant solar system

Learn about our solar system using scale and distance with interactive planet models.

Shuttle hold experiment

Shuttle hold experiments

Conduct a series of fun experiments in a shuttle hold. You'll learn how sounds and liquids react in zero pressure vacuums.

History of ISS Euro Space
