Overview

A thought provoking school trip to Kraków & Auschwitz-Birkenau

On a school trip to Kraków and Auschwitz your students will learn about the devastating impact of WWII on the Jewish people of Europe and see, firsthand, locations of historical importance such as the Kraków Ghetto, Holocaust sites and museums, Kraków Jewish Quater and Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. We can even organise for your students to meet an Auschwitz survivor or relative to bear witness to the impact of the Holocaust.

The centre of UNESCO-listed Kraków has maintained a mix of medieval and baroque architectural styles, making it a popular destination for school history trips, particularly those studying WWII, the Holocaust and Judaism.

As well as advancing your students’ understanding of WWII and the Holocaust, there are also many chances to learn about the wider history of Europe by visiting some of Krakóws beautiful medieval and baroque sites such as Wawel Castle, as well as some weird and wonderful moments provided by the underground Wieliczka Salt Mine and a folklore-themed evening meal and performance.
